Many years ago, I—Giovanni—discovered something truly beautiful: the way animals can touch the hearts of children. Especially those with Autism & Down Syndrome. Their smiles, their laughter, the sparkle in their eyes when they connect with a gentle creature—it moved me deeply. I saw with my own eyes how animals can help children feel calmer, more confident, and simply happier. From that moment, I knew I had to do something.
So I began working hand in hand with charities, schools, and families, bringing animals into the lives of those who needed them most. Not in a zoo, not through a screen—but up close, with soft fur and kind eyes, right where the children are.
But now… I want to go further.
My dream is to bring this magic straight into communities—into schools, into homes, even into my restaurant, Giovanni’s in the Bay. Why? Because every child should feel the joy of feeding a rabbit, brushing a pony, or cuddling a friendly little goat. These are not just cute moments—they are lessons in love, in patience, in responsibility. Lessons that stay with you for life.
And the healing… mamma mia, it’s powerful. I’ve watched children who rarely speak, begin to open up. Parents with heavy hearts find moments of peace. I’ve seen the toughest days transformed—just by the gentle presence of an animal.
This is not just about education. It’s about hope. It’s about giving single parents a new kind of outing, one with meaning and connection—not just more screen time or shopping malls. It’s about making memories that stay in the heart forever.
